Fighting Period Stigma

Menstrual cycles, also known as periods, are a taboo subject, however majority of women have them. The menstrual cycle is a self-cleansing process that prepares the egg for fertilization. Menstrual blood is the result of an unfertilized egg. ESSENTIALLY, menstruators need periods to give birth. So why is this subject so hard to talk about?

There is a lack of education about what the menstruation cycle is. It is NOT a disease. It is a natural process and imperative factor in the creation of LIFE.

Women are held to a very high social standard where they are expected to repopulate the WORLD but are not given resources, proper care, or respect all due to the disregard for the monumental role women play in society.

The mission of the Periodt. website is to inform everyone on what a menstrual cycle is, it’s purpose, provide organic feminine products to menstruators all over the world, and offer a safe space to discuss any and everything menstruation.

Their Stories

Can you believe that girls and women around the world are missing at least five days of school, sometimes more, every month? That is 25% of teaching time every month that those students will miss because adequate feminine products are not accessible.

In fact, their resources are so inaccessible that women have resulted to selling their bodies for sanitary products. 1.25 billion women don’t have access to the toilet during their period. The Periodt. website works to fight against this epidemic by donating at least one pad with every purchase of our organic products to a woman or girl in need.

Why We Sell Organic Feminine Products?

Does it SHOCK you that the most popular feminine products contain hazardous toxins such as carcinogens, reproductive toxins, endocrine disruptors, allergens, and many more that could potentially result in toxic shock,  breast cancer, reproductive issues, asthma, allergic reactions, ovarian cysts, and THE LIST GOES ON.

Organic products are free of harmful chemicals and they result in the decrease of period cramps and lessens blood flow.

Tampon Tax

The facts on tampon tax is there are no specific tax on tampon products in the US, however many states exempt consumers from paying tax on medically necessary products (feminine products are not considered medically necessary). State and local taxes can add more than 9% to the cost of products.
